17 Mar Alvaro Siviero and Roberto Prosseda perform opening concert of Unibes Cultural
The Italian pianist Roberto Prosseda, who has just released by Decca label the complete works for piano by Felix Mendelssohn, landed in Brazil to participate, together with pianist Alvaro Siviero, in the opening concert of Unibes Cultural, the newest cultural institution in the city of São Paulo. The format chosen, offbeat and unusual in concert halls, was a recital for two pianos.
Located in one of the noblest areas of the city, the Unibes Cultural has as its principle that culture is one of the foundations for human development. Unibes Cultural is born as an open space to the richness of diversity and encourages the exchange of knowledge among all ages. Among the works performed during the venue, the musicians interpreted the Variations on a Paganini Theme by the Polish composer Witold Lutoslawski, the Danse Macabre by the French composer Saint-Saens and a fun transcription of the opera Carmen by the Italian composer Sergio Cafaro.
The start of activities also marked the invitation by Unibes Cultural to have Siviero as its curator of the musical area of the institution.
