11 Jul Alvaro Siviero performs at Centro Cultural São Paulo
The piano recital, entirely devoted to Chopin, brought an immense amount of public to the concert hall
On a late winter afternoon, under cold drizzle, the Centro Cultural São Paulo received warm audience, in a short time, which filled its concert hall. The production of the event, in a fast attitude, began a process of acquiring several extra chairs. Some even wanted to enter, without success, simply because there is no other place to stay.
The varied repertoire based on works by the Polish composer – Ballade, Waltz, Scherzo, Prelude, Etude, Polonaises, his famous Fantasia, among others – served as a screen for this special meeting with Chopin. During the recital, the pianist Alvaro Siviero wove several comments about the work and life of the composer, who died in 1849 of tuberculosis.
At the end of the concert, several people could talk to Siviero who will return to this concert hall for another presentation at the end of the second semester.
