16 Mar Bicentennial of Chopin celebrated with a recital and picture exhibition
The event took place at IICS Concert Hall.
The pianist Alvaro Siviero was invited by IICS – Instituto Internacional de Ciências Sociais to brighten the cultural week devoted to celebrate the bicentennial of birth of Frederic Chopin, performing masterpieces of the “Poet of the Piano”.
Intending to deepen about life and works of the Polish composer, IICS opened its commemorative week with a picture exhibition about several places and people who had a profound influence and left a mark on the composer life. The great idea of the organization and production of the event was to ask the pianist to mention some biographical aspects of Chopin combined with the performance. The audience, who packed the concert hall, would not want to leave the event after its end, talking and sharing ideas with Siviero. A tremendous and true success!
