20 Apr Grieg Piano Concerto in Goiânia, Campinas and Brasília
Opening the seasons of the Symphony of Goiânia and Campinas, Siviero performs the Piano Concerto in A minor by Edvard Grieg. Together with the Symphony Orchestra of the National Theatre, the same work is performed in commemoration of World Autism Awareness Day, largely broadcasted by the television.
The seasons of the Symphony Orchestras of Goiânia and Campinas found in Grieg their start up. Under the baton of their principal conductors – respectively conductor Joaquim Jaime and conductor Victor Hugo Toro – a large public attended the SESI-Goiânia and Castro Mendes concert halls, which witnessed the almost immediate musical interaction established between conductor, soloist and orchestra. In Campinas, where two presentations were held , Siviero had the opportunity to talk extensively with the general public .
On April 2nd – World Autism Awareness Day – the pianist Alvaro Siviero joined the National Theatre Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of its principal conductor Claudio Cohen to perform the work. During the concert the Metropolitan Cathedral, where the concert took place, was lit blue color which is the symbol of Autism, joining the cause. Enthusiastic about the initiative, several TV companies such as SBT, Globo, Record besides newspapers and other media communication heavily publicized the initiative. Several autistic persons were present in the company of their parents and relatives. Everything was very touching!
