24 Nov Siviero and OSB perform Grieg Piano Concerto
Brazilian Symphony Orchestra (OSB) has Alvaro Siviero as guest soloist performing Grieg Piano Concerto in A minor Op.16
On the last November 4th, within the Tourmaline Series – Pianists promoted by the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra, the pianist Alvaro Siviero was invited as guest soloist to perform the known and one of the most popular piano concertos: the Grieg Piano Concerto. The “short notice” invitation happened just three days before the scheduled date of the presentation. On top of that, Siviero would be performing on the consecutive November 6th the integral of the Liszt Piano Concertos, in Curitiba, in the same venue. A true saga! Moreover, it was also requested by the OSB Foundation that the first part of the program should be entirely devoted to a solo piano recital, which included Liszt – Fantasy and Fugue on a Theme BACH, Beethoven – Sonata Op.27 n.2 ‘Moonlight “Chopin – Scherzo Op.31 n.2-Grunfeld and Strauss – Die Fledermaus.
In the middle of all this, a pleasant surprise: the practice was in a fantastic Fazioli piano, perhaps the best piano that exists today in the city of Rio de Janeiro. It was on this piano, having as its scenery the Sugar Loaf, that Siviero spent most of his time during his preparation. Another pleasant surprise was meeting the composer and friend Dimitri Cervo.
