02 Feb Siviero ends 2011 with concerts in tribute to the composer Franz Liszt
The concerts took place in the cities of Curitiba (Espaço Cultural Capela Santa Maria) and São Paulo (Centro Cultural São Paulo)
Ending the year where the world celebrated the bicentennial of the birth of the Hungarian composer Franz Liszt, Siviero held two astounding concerts, proving why Liszt is considered one of the composers who most requires a pianist accurate technical skill. In Sao Paulo, where this concert meant the last Brazilian tribute to the bicentennial, Siviero showed during the performance clear awareness that the celebrations were ending up at that moment. And he played as if it were his last time with the composer. Curated by Regina Porto and named as Liszt Machine, the presentation included projection of images revealing some of the social and industrial revolution that took place in the world during the years where Liszt lived. All this complementary information, of course, interspersed with the energetic performance of the pianist.
In Curitiba, where the income from the concert was donated to the Centro de Capacitação Os Pinhais, and after the dense lisztian program performed, Siviero played the famous Piano Quintet in F minor, by Brahms. “Doing a presentation with sales reverted to an entity is very rewarding” stated the pianist.
