Tribute to the bicentennial of Liszt in the Festival de Campos do Jordão

The Recital was held at the Boa Vista Palace.

In July, Campos do Jordão heats up his musical life in the same proportion as thermometers register temperature drops. Music takes hold in various parts of the city.

Siviero recital took place in the idyllic chapel of the Palace Boa Vista, place where the Governor of the State of São Paulo and relatives stay during winter time. The program covered extensive musical literature of the feared Hungarian composer, from transcriptions such as Ave Maria (originally composed by Schubert but transcribed for piano by Liszy) to the tops of difficulty of the Dante Sonata and the Fantasy and Fugue on a Theme B.A.C.H. The audience, who had difficulty to find tickets since they got sold out weeks before the recital, got speechless.

After intermission, Siviero and guest musicians performed the famous Piano Quintet in F minor, Op. 34 by Johannes Brahms. The dense and precise chamber sound created during the performance had safe renditions of Pablo de Leon and Ruda Alves (violins), Alexandre de Leon (viola) and Mauro Brucoli (cello).
