The dreaded Russian composer piano concerto was the highlight spot during the presentation with the OSTNCS- Symphony Orchestra of National Theater, in Teatro Nacional Cláudio Santoro.
“I wrote this piece for elephants,” said Rachmaninov after finishing the work. Considered the piano concerto that has the largest amount of notes, and one of the longest, the presentation brought to the concert hall a lot of audience. And curious ones. All wanting to experience this moment, in a way, unique. The solid preparation and musical intensity of the OSTNCS, under the baton of the principal conductor Claudio Cohen, gave to the performance a unique character. “A time to keep in memory,” said one of those present.
