12 Jul Alvaro Siviero on tour with the Russian Virtuosi of Europe
The performances took place in Montevideo and Punta Del Este.
The symbiosis of the pianist Alvaro Siviero and the Russian Virtuosi of Europe started some years ago when they performed and live recorded the Bach Piano Concerto in D minor BWV 1052. At this time, along with violinist Yuri Zhislin, Siviero performed Mendelssohn’s Double Concerto, a masterpiece that combines classical orthodoxy with the colorful romantic attitude. “Tours like this one, where we travel together and play together, with a visible cultural diversity, are enriching experiences, which is great! But above all, it is remarkable to see how this friendship and relaxing attitude toward each other has a strong influence on the quality of the musical performance”, commented Siviero.
The Uruguayan audience – who packed the concert halls – followed with extreme attention the technical agility and lightness of the interpretation. Pianist and orchestra now prepare new high voltage meetings. Time flies but memories stay.
