The stage of the Sala São Paulo, with the participation of the Symphonic Orchestra of Campinas, under the baton of conductor Victor Hugo Toro, received the pianist Alvaro Siviero as soloist of the Concerto n.2 for piano and orchestra in C minor, Op.18 by Rachmaninov. The full program of the presentation included the Ligh Cavalry Overture by von Suppé, as well as Pictures at an Exposition, by Mussorgsky, re-read by Francisco Mignone.
The full income of the ticket office was reverted to the educational, cultural and social actions promoted by the Veleiros Training Center, an entity that carries out solid rescue work in the southern region of the city of São Paulo.
The presentation in São Paulo had its premiere in Campinas, at the Teatro Castro Mendes, for a select audience that enthusiastically pre-premiered. “It is always a pleasure to make music with this orchestra, with which I have had a relationship of friendship and affection. I am very happy,” said Siviero.
